What's Hermetisicm all about?

Hermetisicm is a philosophy based on the teachings of a being known as Hermes Trismegistus. It teaches the creation and function of the universe as it projects from the mind of the ALL, and teaches day to day life operations for spiritual enlightenment. The Latin words 'hermeticus' and 'hermetic' came to used to describe something 'airtight, mysterious, beyond comprehension'.

The link between Hermetisicm and the Egyptian god of Wisdom Thoth (And ultimately, Gnosticism and Mormonism) is a fantastic and titillating journey for all earthbound souls, and the most important thing any human can spend their time doing at this time. As Franz Bardon said, "It is unnecessary to pass your time eating or drinking, or waste your time with meaningless company. Time flows like water and never returns."

Alchemy

The word alchemy means the process of transmutation, changing the property or quality of a substance. This can be physical or spiritual, like psychotherapist Carl Jung's practice of shadow work, where he taught the transmutation of negative behaviours and emotions connected to past traumas.

All alchemy comes from Hermetic teachings, and is most known from medieval alchemical treatises. The confusion these texts have caused (which is not hard to do in the Age of Darkness) is massive, with many people attempting to change base metals into gold without even understanding the process.

In the Kybalion and the Emerald Tablets, it is stated "That which is above is the same as that which is below." The process of purifying metals is analogous to the purification of the human soul.
